I would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in our first Bridal event. The Emerson room had around 175 attending Tuesday night’s event. Thanks to our staff for helping make the event a great success! {gallery}hhevent{/gallery} The event was promoted by KC Weddings. Also Channel 41 News had multiple broadcasts that mentioned the event. Mike Freeland, of Freeland Photography, and I, went live on air a couple weeks back promoting the event. Connie Bell with Bell’s Floral & Interiors did a variety of arrangements and centerpieces to show the styles and colors for any wedding season. Caren with Caren’s Cakes had white, chocolate, and strawberry cake. It’s always a treat to have her serve cake. Mike Nolte with Nolte’s Bridal had his collection of wedding dresses displayed including his own custom dress line. Mike spoke in depth regarding planning, ideas, and budgeting. He offered great insite and also autographed copies of his wedding book he co-wrote with Nell Hill’s. His shops are located north of the river in Briarcliff Village, and in Hawthorne Plaza off 119th street in Overland Park, Kansas. David & Greg with David/Gregory Invitations did stunning work with the invitations, table menus, and name tags. Their shop is located in Fairview. Jeff Stultz with Image Video had a nice presentation on personalization. I also wanted to also thank Freeland Photography for putting together the event website at Hawthorne House Bridal event . The site handled all the registration and rsvp confirmations. I really feel this was a top notch event, and we, at the Hawthorne House, will be excited to have future shows highlighting some of Kansas City’s best wedding vendors! |
