WHY A SEATING CHART IS A MUST HAVE
Have you ever felt lost as a wedding guest, not sure where to go or what to do next? I don’t know about you, but there have been times where I don’t want to head to the bar because I don’t want to be the first person in line and…..wait…..is it open yet? Am I even in the right place?
Guest experience is a hot topic and one that should be top of mind when making most, if not all, wedding decisions.
Having a seating chart can greatly enhance guest experience by giving your guests purpose. They know what to do as soon as the ceremony is over (head to the easel or place card table), where to set their purse/coat (thanks to your handy-dandy table numbers) and will feel at ease getting in line for the bar rather than having to run to a table and put an item of clothing at every chair to make sure there are enough seats for the whole family.
Seating charts can be elaborate such as this boxwood champagne wall with script place cards:
Elegant like these three calligraphy options:
Or simple yet sweet like these three plug and print options:
Seating charts can range in price. Etsy has fabulous, affordable options. You can DIY them (although read my article on 5 things I wish I knew before planning my wedding if you have hesitation) or you can check out local designers who aren’t always as expensive as you’d think.
