Emily & Reed met during their freshman year at the University of Arkansas where he lived a floor above Emily in their dorm. After a few chance encounters, he eventually messaged her on Instagram, inviting her and her friends to hang out with him and a group of his friends. Though they didn’t start dating until a year later, they’ve been together for almost 6 years now.

Reed put so much thought into the proposal - Emily’s best friend tricked her (way to go bestie!!), into thinking they were just grabbing drinks for her birthday only to drive her to Loose Park, where Reed was patiently waiting. He led her to a beautiful set up of flowers, photos of the two of them, champagne, and a heartfelt note he read right before he popped the question!!

When Emily and Reed chose to start their forever at Hawthorne House, they let us know that they loved the chapel and how many guests it could accommodate. They thought it would be so special to have both the ceremony and reception in one place, making it perfect for celebrating with all of their friends and family….
