4 HEAD TABLE LOCATIONS FOR LARGE WEDDING PARTIES

When making a list of everyone you want in your wedding party, drawing the line is crazy hard. You have BFFs from the first grade, gal pals you bonded with in Chem 101 and sorority sisters you can’t NOT have in your bridal party. Not to mention your future sister-in-laws, your brother’s long time girlfriend and the cousin you grew up with!

Check out these four head table styles that can host large wedding parties while meshing well with your wedding design!

1. Tuscan Style

Want to make a statement? This head table is two tables wide (typically around five feet) and encourages conversation by seating wedding party members on either side of the table. The additional width can accommodate a garland centerpiece with plenty of room for a full place setting at each seat.

2. King’s Style

If you want to take up space, but don’t want the drama of a Tuscan Style head table this is the option for you. A kings style head table will still have the conversation enticing seating arrangement with wedding party members on either side of the table, but will be the width of one table (typically around two and a half feet) rather than two. A floating centerpiece or votive-based centerpiece will work better with this head table style.

3. Square

You can do some MAJOR floral with this head table. With wedding party members seated around the entire square, the center is wide open and ready for a collection of pedestal floral arrangements or a candle-heavy statement. This style would look best in the center of the room allowing for the couple to be surrounded by their family and friends.

4.  “U” Shape

For a more intimate setup, the “U” shape would work very well. For a smaller wedding, place the dance floor in the center of the “U” with family tables reserved as the first row- you will be surrounded by family and friends for your first dance.
